Client/Server Flexibility and Scalability

Download the Product Brochure

With a powerful three-tier scalable architecture, InterconnecT CABS CG complies with OBF requirements and meets both BOS and SECAB guidelines. You can be confident that InterconnecT CABS CG is built to meet both present and future demands.

InterconnecT CABS CG’s three-tier client/server architecture offers many advantages. For example, it enables the user’s PC – the client – to run faster and more efficiently with less processing. So it simplifies the upgrade process when changes occur. The three-tier architecture provides a major advantage in protecting the system from change. When an alteration in one layer does not affect the other layers, then only the layer in which the change occurred needs to be upgraded, saving both time and money.

A sophisticated graphical user interface (GUI) makes InterconnecT CABS CG easy to learn and use, with full on-line help facilities available supporting both field and window-level inquiries.

DATA MANAGEMENT – SECURE AND PROVEN
Data management and security are provided by the database management software. The data is managed into file systems, and referential integrity rules are verified and enforced. The business rules layer communicates with the data management layer through Structured Query Language (SQL) requests.

CLIENT – WINDOWS OR WEB
The InterconnecT CABS CG client runs on PCs using Microsoft’s reliable Windows operating system. Another client option available within the three-tier configuration is access to InterconnecT CABS CG via a Web browser. This is an optimal solution for users who only view CABS data or create reports. InterconnecT CABS CG is also configurable as a two-tier model, where business processes are performed on the client, reducing system costs in smaller carriers.

In a two-tier solution, the InterconnecT CABS CG application is installed on the user’s PC and is integrated with the database residing on a server. In a three-tier configuration, the user operates the application from a desktop while the majority of the CABS processing occurs on a server. By using the powerful capabilities of the server, the three-tier architecture frees the desktop to run other applications faster and more efficiently.
